just in case you folks don’t quite understand the implications of “employment discrimination” and “housing discrimination” i will break it down for you:
it means you can be FIRED from your job, no matter HOW long you’ve been working there or how great an employee you are, for NO other reason, and it means you can be KICKED OUT OF YOUR HOUSE AND/OR EVICTED for NO OTHER REASON. it means you can be DENIED a job SOLELY because you are trans* and it means you can be denied a home SOLELY because you are trans*. and it is COMPLETELY LEGAL.
mass only recently ended this with the trans* rights bill we passed just a few months ago.
i hope you understand that the legal sanctioning of stripping BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS from trans* people is DIRECTLY CORRELATED with the outrageously high homelessness and SUICIDE rates of trans* people. THIS is part of why over 50% of trans* people UNDER 20 have attempted suicide, many successfully. 50 FUCKING PERCENT.
this is not just discrimination. this is STRIPPING people of their HUMANITY and ENDORSING their deaths. this is borderline LEGAL GENOCIDE.

Olivia Penpraze.
19 years old.
Died from a Suicide attempt that left her brain dead. Her parents made the hardest decision of their lives by turning off her life support.
She had a Tumblr account with over 900 posts sharing her emotional turmoil, dealings with depression, loneliness & thoughts about her wanting to take her own life.
The only response she got, was insensitive assholes, like the majority of people on Tumblr, encouraging her to do it. She was bullied consistently.
Olivia attempted to kill herself every year in May 1st since 2008.In May 2012, her short life came to an end.
I know most people can’t tolerate posts like Olivia’s, whom find it attention seeking.
My point to you people is…EXACTLY!!
Of course it’s attention seeking what else it?! People share that part of themselves over the Internet because they obviously feel they can’t talk to anyone they know nor do they think anyone would care.
All I want is for people to cut out the bullying & talk to people like Olivia.
A conversation to someone in desperation could save their life.If people can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
You never know…
What you say could be used to decide whether they live or die.Even if youre a b&w blog, reblog this.
whatever type of blog you are just reblog
if you dont reblog this youre just heartless, this is a tragedy that needs to end.
I’m not into guilt tripping like the above reblogs, but this is a message that needs spreading.
from my experience there are far more people on tumblr who will want to help than encourage someone to do something like that, however i think most people will want to help and not know what to say, but words that aren’t perfect will be better than none. everyone’s just got to try and be nicer human beings. I really don’t understand how someone, obviously on anon like the fucking cowards they are, would encourage someone to commit suicide…

Ok so I may have given up on love and relationships but I still believe that anyone should have the right to marry the person they love. Some people don’t understand why everyone gets up in arms about marriage rights for homosexuals. The truth is, it really does make one feel like less of a person. Personally, being bisexual, if I were to be with a girl and decide that I wanted to marry her, I shouldn’t have to think about whether or not I have that right. It would be acceptable if I wanted to marry a man though. I’ve seen too many that I love hurt by these laws. And thanks North Carolina for BANNING marriage between individuals of the same sex, that’s just lovely. I hope you know what you’re doing to the youth in your state. Prepare for more gay-teen suicides because that’s where you’re headed. Let’s alienate homosexuals, bisexuals, transgenders, transsexuals, or even asexual individuals, that’s the spirit. Oh and this is for you religious bigots of the world. You want to argue against abortion, a fetus is a human being with rights to life. What about my best friend? He was a fetus, did he lose his rights when he came out of the closet? That’s the impression a lot of you are sending. That’s why you’re losing the younger generation. I’m making a vow here and now, I could give a shit if the forum is small and no one really cares, but I’m vowing right now to fight. I will fight, nails in the dirt and war paint on my face, for the rights of ANYONE to marry the person they love. It’s wrong to deny it any longer. I will do whatever it takes just so one day, I can see two men, two women, or anyone else walk down an aisle to commit to one another and share the kind of like my parents have had in their near 22 years of marriage.

I have the sudden inspiration to write for my character Beatrice. Interesting since she’s one of the harder ones to be inspired to write for.

I know it’s a little harsh, but I just think people are letting the house they’re in become too defining. Sure, I got sorted into a different house than I expected on Pottermore, but, in the grand scheme of things, it’s not important.
To some people it’s not about it being real. When you’re so passionate about a series, things like that become vastly important. Especially with Pottermore now open to all, it’s become even more important. When I was sorted and saw the video from Jo, I cried. I cried because this was the official sorting. Whatever house I got, it would be official. I answered everything honestly because I didn’t want to be falsely placed. I’m proud to be in Slytherin, my room mate is a proud Hufflepuff even though she used to identify as a Ravenclaw. It’s not about reality, it’s about being a part of something that so many are connected to.

They were both teachers who used bullying tactics. And that is never right, no matter who they loved.
People love Snape because he was well developed and had an interesting backstory. Umbridge was just a bitch with a stick up her ass. Even Snape disliked her. They’re both bullies, true, but Snape would NEVER had tried to take over the school the way that pink toad did; he respected Dumbledore too much.

I am recanting my statement about Elementary. I’m taking the high road. Johnny Lee Miller is a great actor. Benny isn’t bitter nor is Steven. I’m following their example and welcoming in another John/Lock….even if would be Joan/Lock…..and the sexual tension wouldn’t be as delicious

Another work day.
Worried about things and stuff. I was feeling nice and bouncy. I have a job finally, I’ve been doing better in general but now I get the feeling that things are about to go downhill again. I don’t want to be there again. I don’t think it’ll get as bad as it was before.
Crossing my fingers for tomorrow to be vastly improved from today.
